04 Jun staycation
With the end of this crazy school semester, I knew I needed some R+R. The Hyatt Place was nice enough to have me and let me tell you, it was JUST what I needed! It’s nestled back in the corner off the main road in Amherst, NY and has such a quaint feeling. It’s only about a 20 minute drive from downtown Buffalo and offers such tranquillity. Also, easy access to the highway. So, I grabbed some pretty outfits, some books, beauty products and headed over.
Walking in I was greeted by friendly staff and a beautifully modern lobby. The layout and the colors gave me all the vibes. My 6th floor room faced a little pond, so you can imagine how serene the views were. I spent the early evening sprawled out on the couch watching HGTV and then headed down to dinner. The hotel bar and restaurant has (and I’m not just saying this) literally the best brussel sprouts appetizer I have ever had! Everything I ordered was delish! When I tell you, I stuffed my face, but it was totally worth it.
On my way back to my room I ended up hanging by the jacuzzi and pool while I watched my fellow hotel guest snore in his lounge chair, clearly he was very relaxed, haha. I then slept like a baby and got myself up for their lovely breakfast spread. First, I may or may not have enjoyed one their homemade chocolate chip cookies while laying in bed, but back to breakfast…there were lots of organic and healthy choices, I opted for the steel cut oats and drizzled them with peanut butter and honey. Once I got back to my room, I did an eye mask and some reading…Heaven!
All in all I loved it! The staff were great and my room was super comfy. I did not want to leave so naturally I stayed until the exact checkout time, not a minute sooner. Every time I drive by I can’t help but look over and wish I was going back. I’m so grateful for my staycation and look forward to the next time at Hyatt Place.
