Sheer styling for daytime

Sheer styling for daytime

It used to be that see through clothes were only for night time. In the bedroom…If you know what I mean. Now, it’s everywhere and totally daytime doable. If you’re like me, this is an intimidating look though.

I bought this adorable little sheer dress because I loved the color. The peachy nude tone compliments my complexion perfectly, which is always a good place to start. It’s nice to see all the “nude” options lately, it’s not just that ultra light beige shade anymore. Yayyy!

I had so much fun styling this and I was surprised at all the random compliments I got;) This babydoll dress, on it’s own, is super girly. So, of course, since I like a good opposites attract outfit, I wore men’s style loafers. I love when my outfit is super feminine or masculine and then my shoes or some other accessory is the complete opposite. My favorite kind of dichotomy.

This dress is also the perfect length to be worn as a top. I see it layered over a tank and skinny jeans for sure. You can throw on your favorite pair of pumps or comfy kicks, whatever your mood calls for. The versatility of this top is a major bonus!

So if you’re not quite ready for one of those sheer sexy dresses like J-Lo wears, start small. Get something that suits your skin tone and keep everything else simple and solid.
